Creating Paradise with Shared Journeys

Working together to create a better world

About

My name is Susan Hayward, originally from London, I now reside in Suffolk, UK. With four children and eight grandchildren, my greatest wish is to create a brighter future for them.

Having always had an entrepreneurial spirit, I transitioned from working for others to owning various businesses including childminding, a cafe/restaurant, secretarial services, a helpline, referral services, a business center, a haberdashery shop, and dressmaking/alterations.

In the late 1980s, I established a business offering a free 24/7 helpline to the community, funding it by providing telephone answering services to small businesses. A newsletter was distributed to households and clients, envisioning it to evolve into a full-fledged magazine named Good Services.   Although the idea was dormant for several years, a significant event in 1998 prompted me to revisit it. Since then, my journey has been filled with remarkable encounters and connections.

I was also involved in the voluntary sector and managed my own websites, one of which was Residents Associations in the UK (2002-2018).

In 2021, I faced a setback due to a stroke, limiting my activities. Gradually, I resumed work on my debut book, "My Journey to Paradise," which delves into my exploration of beliefs as one of Jehovah's Witnesses from 1971 to 1997. I share the many insights I have come across and the great people I’ve met on my journey.
